I have been an attendee of Comic Con since 2011. I think every single person in the universe should experience going to Comic Con at least once in their lifetime. Me — I went to THREE. I was a little over the fence on attending this year, but of course, I needed to battle the crowd on the internet to see if I can once more score a badge. Afterall, that’s also part of the thrill. Once you get the badge of geek-dom, you have the right to brag about it with your friends who will envy you.
Alas, I was one of the unfortunate souls who did not end up getting a badge this year. I was OK about it, but now that the event is going on, I can’t help but feel jealous. I feel so ordinary and left out from the biggest nerd congregation of the year. It’s not just that, but almost everyone from the entertainment industry is there, and there are chances that you could be rubbing elbows with them, or even seeing them up close.
I could just be arriving to San Diego right now, and preparing for what’s to come on Friday and Saturday. I would have planned which panels I would go see, and the food I will scarfing down. I could be meeting with some friends, taking a ton of pictures of what I would have seen…instead, I am blogging about how much I want to go back to Comic Con!!!
I do hope that next year will be promising.
I guess for now, I can show one photo of my experience at San Diego Comic Con from last year:
