Kids, Cell Phones, and Social Media

It’s the digital age, and kids everywhere are getting sucked into social media. It has become easier to get their hands to everything. Since 9-11, a big number of children and teens started to own cell phones. And as cell phones evolve, so have we, and our younger generation evolved as well. Now, there are children even as young the age of 10 who carries cell phones. Their cell phones aren’t just cell phones — they now demand smart phones. Apps are everywhere, and most of them are free. The majority population of high mobile usage are teenagers.

It’s getting difficult to even get your child’s attention these days. How are you going to pry that cell phone off their hands when they want to socialize with their friends digitally? The face time interaction has changed. Most of them don’t even know how to talk  on the phone because the preferred method nowadays is texting.

If you want to get your child’s attention, the best way to do it is to message them on Facebook. Tweet them, and most likely they’ll respond back quickly.
