I participated in “Will You Marry Me?”, a SAGe production with some friends from my Bay Area Acting Studio Meisner class. For me, this is my second short film (I haven’t seen the first one, and it’s been 3 months). This one only took 2 weeks to complete, and I have to say that this was a fun experience for me. It has given me an understanding on how movies are created. For this particular short film of 8 minutes, it took us 16 hours of shooting! That was a lot of hard work, but in the end…it IS a labor of love afterall.
Some of my close, critical friends and family including me (I’ve selected a handful) had some positive and negative things to say. Of course I know that I’m not going to win some sort of award from this, but for a newbie such as myself, I suppose it’s good enough. There’s definitely room for growth, and for someone who is doing this for fun, I can pat myself on the back and say, “Good job, C-Rae.”
I do hope that I get to participate on another project. It’s definitely fun…but I can honestly say that if I were to pursue an acting career, my love still lies in live theatre.
