Sex sells, right? That is one true fact that most advertisers use to sell a product, and there’s a guarantee that the targeted viewers will pay attention.
This one ad campaign in particular, highlighted from AdFreak’s 30 Freakiest Ads of 2010 got my attention from the video screen capture. Fortnight Lingerie sells…well, lingeries. Watch the video without audio and you would think you’re watching soft porn. Turn the volume up and you’ll hear something else. Something you wouldn’t have expected: step-by-step CPR procedures. Upon watching the first video, I wasn’t even able to pay attention to the CPR procedure. Distracted by what I was seeing, I had to watch the video one more time just to pay attention to what they were saying. I suppose that was the ad agency’s intention. Let’s focus on the models and the lingerie and have the CPR technique an afterthought…a background noise.
